If he's trying to remotely control his brother's PC without his knowledge then Windows Remote desktop won't work as the host will automatically be logged out once starts controlling it.

Try ShowMyPC .
Open it on both computers,
click "Show my pc" on your brother's, copy the code and click on "Show a computer" and paste it / type it down there.
Should work i think.

Most others have a large window or something that says it's being controlled, VNC just has a tray icon. Wink
