Well i currently have only 1gb of ram which is fine for my xp, but i've come into the need of more because well browser + itunes + maple just barely leave me with like 20mb free ram so...... my 1gb stick says ddr1 but when i try to get my bros 1gb stik it doest fit on the other slot the open pin slot doest fit with the plastic part what should i do? Do i need some other kind of ram and why are they diffrent?
This aint my ram but its the same model and everything

If your 100% sure thats the same memory then you need
PC2700, thats all you need to know.
Not 100% sure because its an fuzzy image but I think it sess so.

You don't have to care anything about that, just see that it is PC2700.
Both your old memory and then just buy anew one thats the same.
The PC number stands for:
- Number of pins
- mHz

Which motherboard do you have? I can tell you what RAM and speed it accepts.

I have 1g and I can run crysis while building a game in flash/photoshop/VB09, browsing the web, chatting on msn, and downloading torrents.

Because everything is getting pushed to the pagefile and it probably chugs like fucking hell if you try to switch between things.
