For those of you that can actually hack maple story, how much dedication did it take to get there? After school is out, I am going to start back up at learning how to hack and I was looking for a rough estimate on how long it truly takes to be able to hack maple story.

Should I start on C++?

Well, if you learn a little bit every day you should be able to move your character, send clicks wherever you want, send any keys you want, etc. in about a month if you start from scratch? VERY rough estimate...it all depends on the person really

(Beyond that) Exploit wise, well, don't even start thinking about that

I have learned to bare basics of C++ already, and it isn't much.

I am actually mainly looking at creating a bot first so that is what I wanted to here.

So a month? I pick up on these things quickly so I will take that estimate

Why are exploits so far away? What makes them so hard to understand?

Maple Story is quite difficult for a starting [and even some advanced] hackers. You should learn how to use the Cheat Engine and understand how to memory edit and then combine it with the programming knowledge that you learn later on.

My point is that you will have to have a great understanding of the language in general before you stumble upon any ideas for exploits, let alone working ones.

Just focus on learning the language first.
Then make your bot.
Don't hope for any magical breakthroughs, is my point.

I believe you should learn Win32, but try to stay away from unicode. Everything that you want to do is Win32 programming.

I can't decide if this quote is signature worthy or not...
