Im planning to buy a quad core for my computer, and I wanted your guys opinion on which one.

Now right now I only have like 216 dollars saved for this, but if I save I could have 300 maybe by march 20th or so.

So really its up to the whole "Is it worth saving" thing.

SO, higher the price, longer i have to wait.

Depends are you planning to actually use the computer to its capabilities, or are you just getting it for bragging rights? If for bragging rights screw it get a dual core.

Ha, well actually I edit movies and do a lot of multi-tasking, so i really do need it. (but i wouldn't mind having bragging rights either.) I actually already have a E8400 and it preforms fine but with the stuff i do its kind of not enough.

EDIT: Lol, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think i can use the I7 because I don't think it uses socket 775 does it?

Core i7 is socket 1366.
If you're going to be overclocking, go for the Q6600 and a decent HS/fan. What motherboard do you have?

If you plan to overclock (which is worth it with a Q6600), then yes. The XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 is popular, and only a little over $35. There's a lot of others you can go for, like the Noctua U12P or the Tuniq Tower.
For fifty bucks, a good CPU cooler will allow you to get more out of your CPU.

Hm, Which one do you personally recommend? Because i mean there are tons of coolers, so which one do you think is worth the money?

Really any of the three up there are good choices. You could just get the Xigmatek since it's priced a little lower than the others and you're probably not going to push the Q6600 too much.
