Sound won't come out of my earphones when in computer.

they work perfectly fine with and MP3 Player.
But when I plug them into the earphone jack of my computer they don't make a sound. I go to sound setting and the computer notices that they are plugged in but says no applications are playing sound through them. how do I switch the computer to play sound through the earphones without unplugging the speakers?

Usually the speakers have a headphone jack on them. Try plugging it in to that.

Install your sound driver. I had that problem myself.
