|
|
Hello in my school my teacher just finished teaching us pascal, I know its not a object oriented language but I just think that making a text based game for the final work that counts 70% of the grade would be a nice idea...
Everyone is making the same thing so I tought I would change it a bit... Anyone ever tried this or think its possible?
Thanks in advance

Oh nice, pascal, if you want to get 100 here's an idea.
instead of a game, make a local (LAN) instant messenger (for school computers) or even a remote controler (no UI, just command line).
use winsock library, which compiler you use ?

Just a heads up, you won't be doing any programming in GCSE ICT. In A level you'll have to take 'Computing' to do programming in which case you'll be doing VB for the whole of the first year and probably C/++ in the second. Doubt you'll be doing Pascal unless they changed the curriculum vastly. In ICT Key Skills you'll be learning about publisher and excel/access database usage.

I am using the one they told us to use at school... It's called freepascal...
EDIT: @S3NSA : I have a class for database... I learned about access and excel and now I am learning about Mysql...
