I'm downloading Spore on my brother's computer because mine is too slow. Now the problem is it's downloading at 10kb/s, and I heard something about speeding up the download speed with port forwarding. I told my brother about it and he thinks it's not safe (He's kinda dumb with computers), is it safe or not?

Yes it's safe.

Otherwise, tell him to have fun downloading at 10KB/s and that he'll have to wait 2 weeks before the download finishes.

If you're talking about torrenting, you can't always expect your connection to max out.
