I have recently bought this new laptop and it has been overheating. This overheating is probably caused by the HDD. Is there any way that I can decrease the HDD's performance (as in decrease rpm)? |

Maybe you can buy a new HDD for it, hardrives are fairly cheap, yo. _________________

Unless you have a basis of the HDD's temperature with Speedfan or i8kfanGUI, the HDD is likely to not be the main problem. |

HDD probably isn't running hot, your CPU is. I've been using like 3 laptops on/off recently and I learned through Everest that laptop CPUs have insanely high vCores, which increases heat exponentially.
Your IGP is probably also adding onto the problem.
Might consider getting a cooling stand for your lappy to alleviate some of the fail. _________________

A nominal suggestion. Dropped the CPU temps of the laptop I have that was made with PC components considerably with two good fans underneath. |

First clean your cooling system, but if that don't work and it's still under warranty, send it back for a replacement. |

Sure he should do that, if it is actually overheating.
If only darkex could explain why he thinks it's overheating.
(or if it's just hot, like every laptop in the world...) _________________
