Well im new to VB6 and cheat engine. I made my first trainer on VB6
and im trying to save it so that when you open it, it just opens the trainer.
Also i tried using search but the answers i found didn't really make much sense. if someone could explain it in a n00b friendly way that would be nice. Thank you.

Open the trainer. OK, first you got to make it an .exe, so when you are on VB6, Go to File in the top left-hand corner of VB6, and look for Make "YourTrainerNameHere".exe, save it into your desktop and there.

but when i try to use that button it won't let me. any ideas on how to fix it or if theres something i need to do?

when you click make.exe from file menu did you get any errors?
