1. 2012 is interpreted wrong. Just like how we have years, Aztec's have this huge cycle. And like 2008 going to 2009, it's going to their next "age".
2. Sun will explode in liek millions of years.

2. super robots. see; terminator
3. sun explosion (when we can live on mars)
4. "unnatural" natural disasters. see; day after tomorrow
5. rocks from outer space (when we can live on saturn)
6. rock propelled from a source, ie : exploding sun, missed by NASA, either hits or runs in between the sun and the moon (that are aligned), creating a larger tide than normal (though i dont see how this is end of the worlds)
7. JUDGEMENT DAY (happens AFTER we die, promise)
8. aliens coming to earth and kicking our asses~ (give it a chance of 1 to the amount of digits in Pi)
9. rebels + nuclear weapons (more believable dontcha think?)
my thoughts, but for any of these to happen, it'll take, my guess
3 thousand years atleast

6. tide higher = water rises and some places will flood
7. err, judgement day is when jesus comes back to earth and those who believe in him (me and many other christians) will go to heaven and those who dont believe in him will be forsaken and sent to hell.

theres no such things as "nuclear wars"
You drop one nuclear bomb and you already destroyed the enemy.
it wouldnt last more than a few days. 
also, with the exception of a few people, most countries are allies or have no reason to fight others.
if we(americans) somehow entered a nuclear war, we would win in an instant. our enemies live in countries so small and weak that its not even funny.
the only country i would see as a threat are the russians and they suck at warfare.
