So, i re-reformated *Into Vista this time* I've installed the Korean Language pack, all is well i thought. Wrong. As you can see here in the picture, the Korean Language can be ticked, etc.

So, i tick it and add it. But when i click on the "Keyboard Layout" I'm greeted with a blank Keyboard.

This also happens to Japanese and other Asia Languages. I've also read when I'm adding the languages, it's meant to have "Korea IME" Or something, but as you can see, i don't.

Any help would be awesome. Cheers guys!

back in xp, you have an option to "Install files for east asian languages". I use neither of the two OSes, so good luck with that.

Vista already has the language packs preinstalled so there is not need to reinstall it.

Are you sure your doing it right?

1. Go back to the place where you add the Korean keyboard.
2. Make sure you see an "EN" icon near the bottom right side of your taskbar.
3. Click on the "EN" and change to "KO"
4. Try again.

Yeah, I'm doing it right. But when i add the Korean language, it doesn't show up down on the language bar, and i can't type with it. I can add other languages like: French, etc..

Try removing all keyboard settings except for your default, restart and try again.

Quick question, where did you install the Korean Language Pack from? The Microsoft site? You could try going to Windows Update and installing it from the list of optional updates.

Like I've said before, there is no language packs to install as Vista pre-install them.

If you go to a korean website and you can read it then the language pack is already installed.

Language packs in Windows Update are for Ultimate users only, those language packs has nothing to do with a keyboard layout. What they do is change the entire Windows interface to the desire language of what the user wants.

Don't if they might help, but try it out.

Go to device manager, and expand your keyboard.
Double click on it and go to update drivers.
Select the manual advance install method and select "I'll pick from a list".
Uncheck "show compatible" hardware, select the Korean keyboard. Install it and see what happens.
