Most probably using buffer overflow exploits that "DCs" (crash) others application. (DC hacks still exist in maple -.-) After that by injecting his malicious codes, he did something like "Do send packets drop XXX items from slots XXX" to every of his item slots.

If that's the case of using Buffer Overflow exploit on others is consider "hacking" which will get his ass sued if the user who got attacked chooses to report this case to FBI and etc.

FYI Windows Sasser worm also uses Buffer Overflow exploit, so you can actually "visualise" what can some of the buffer overflow exploit does, eventually he can controls your CPU execution to the way he want by injecting his own codes, assuming that there is enough memory space on that exploit for him to inject all his codes.

Once Nexon patched the buffer overflow exploits he's using, and all others buffer overflow exploits, then he couldn't do all this anymore.

Selling this is pretty stupid, once someone does something to counteract it, the seller will get into some trouble.

Probably he could sell the buffer overflow method in the black market for real hackers to buy it and infect every player to be part of their botnet to increase their "army" strength lol since Maplestory is quite a popular game.

@Coheed&Cambria: Once you get into trouble, your first thing is to shift the blame onto the website, thus leading both to be in some trouble.

@SBSP: He'd probably sell it in anonymous black markets where he can't be traced. Though i do think it will get into the wrong hands.
