|

Well, I'm getting older now and me and my brother had some talks with each other. Makes me very scared, how the average low class income is 10-30G. Average jobs income is also around 15-35G.
This topic is mainly on what you want to do when you get older.
Right now, I'm struggling and don't know yet. Really haven't decided yet.. my first choice was actor, but failed. Second was police officer but I always get those weird feelings where in the movie the cop and his wife always divorce because the cop is always to busy with his work. Now I'm deciding on the armed forces.
Don't know how much they pay weekly, or their income but that's my main backup as of now.
So tell me what you people want to major in and how much the job pays.
Thanks. :]

I'm going to turn 18 this year, and I've decided what I wanted to be a year ago. When I grow up I want to be a game programmer.

I KNOW THAT MIGHT SEEM GAY but they get like $60 or more per shot
and they get like 50 animals a day, so they get like $100,000 a year.

Would you enjoy being a vet? I prefer a job I enjoy over an easy, high paying job.

Well yes, its a high paying job and I guess I like animals and its easy.
If a cat or dog died you dont get sued and you dont get payed by
experience, you just need to have your private clinic somewhere in a
busy place.

@HornyAZNBoy - You may not be happy to long since the job as a game programmer is very insecure... As in, if your team does not meet a given dead-line in a set amount of time... Funds will quickly dry out and you may be out of a job.
Not to mention that you have to be a very good programmer to even get the job in the first place.
I would like to be a Network Engineer. Maybe with a company that needs it's data secured... -> also network security.

Now I am reconsidering, maybe I'll take up game programming as a hobby if I don't make it in a good company.

I've had my mind set on what I've wanted to do for some years now. Law. It's something I enjoyed investigating, to my surprise. Nothing really swung it for me, I just kind of came across it one night. Unfortunately, I'm not the only person, competition in the law field is high and therefore I'll have to work a lot. Requires 4-year college degree, 3 years of law school, and passing a written bar exam, so it's a long time yet. Average entrance Salary is normal £35,000+ and only gets higher by the year, seeing as large percentage of lawyers these days end up going into self-employment.

Get my (older) cousins job.
He get 3 weeks on a oil rig and 3 weeks off
They fly him in by Helicopter each changeover
He drives a remote control thingy to fix lines down there
He work about 1-5 hours a day, depending on whether repairs have to be done
They get internet out there, he asked the company for a PC and TADA next thing I know im playing CA with him ALOT :3
I have never asked him just how much he gets, but I know his wife doesn't have a job, they have a big house and can afford to give me & my siblings $100+ christmas presents each even though we dont see him alot
Sound good? Hes my aspiration in life

For me, it's anything to do with graphic design or design in general.
From web design, fashion, interior, architectural or something along those lines.

Graphic designing and programming for games in Rockstar or Blizzard. I have methods of making security measures to help prevent cracking and I can get a decent amount of money for that. I know it won't stop cracking, that's why I'm giving Razor1911 and Reloaded some challenges since it's just to easy these days.
