Does anyone have an explanation for why, sometimes, when I click "My Network Places" my other computer doesn't show up?

I've researched online and apparently other ppl have had similar problems, where, one day it just stops working.

I thought at first that my BitTorrent client might be interfering? but i'm not really sure.

The only solution i have atm is to re-boot both computers, and wait 15 minutes, then they SOMETIMES show up.

Any ideas?

p.s I disabled Windows Firewall on both, and am also running Nod32 Smart Security on both but I have the firewall configured for that

What are the operating systems of both computers? If you're connecting Vista-XP, then you'll need to install the IPv6 protocol in the XP computer.

You can do is map a network drive.

Open up the Map Network Drive wizard.
Browse to your network machines and select the drives.

You can map the drive, or simply make a shortcut somewhere to
Code:
\\computer-name\Sharedfolder
Remember quotes if there are spaces.

In file path's If you have a space what do you type in instead of it.
Because I was making a batch file to a directory which had a space in it and I couldn't figure it out....

For example C:\User\Name\Desktop\Bat Test
When in a batch file i had a directory of Batch Test, CMD said could not find it or something. I forgot.
Do I have to change it to

"C:\User\Name\Desktop\Bat Test" ?
