So, here's a story:
I had a crappy computer for 8 years, then finally my dad gives me a computer! I transfer stuff to it (VERY SLOWLY) and then I go to a camp for the summer, I come back and he takes it to use as a TV.
So then he ends up deleting my account, including all my files, I'm pissed, and I'm still stuck with an even worse computer then I had at first.
I'm using that one at the moment, but I have my good one finally, but I'm not an admin, and I can't do shit on it.
So, I'm trying to make myself an admin, tried the batch file for admin account in startup but it didn't work, whereas it did for this computer I'm using right now. f11 won't work either, probably a XP thing.
So suggestions anyone?

Just go to your control panel, and click on "User Accounts". From there, change the password to the administrator account to something that you can remember. After doing this, go on the administrator account and set up your account to have privileges equal to an administrator. After your done tell your dad what the new password. You're Done!

My dad never gives me money anymore, so I have about 20 dollars that I'm screwed if I use. 4. If it were that easy, I'd have done it by now, but he nearly never says yes to anything giving me power on computers, which is why I do things like this.

LOL DUMBASS!
Ok this is what you do.
Download ophrcack live cd. http://downloads.sourceforge.net/ophcrack/ophcrack-vista-livecd-2.1.0.iso
Use Nero/ImgBurn/PowerISO to burn it to disc.
Shut computer down and boot of cd.
It will search your user acounts for passwords.
Find the admin account password.
Shutdown and boot into vista again.
login to the admin account and make your acount admin through control panel. useraccounts rubdaubduabd.

It's quite simple, really. Download/install Windows 2003 Resource Kit Tools and use the cdburn command.
Either that or get a program like Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools, or Nero and use the GUIs to figure it out. (Shouldn't be hard...)

Get Imgburn
http://download.imgburn.com/SetupImgBurn_2.4.2.0.exe
Install this program.
Run it.
Write image file to disc
Browse for ophcrack.iso
Burn.
Boot onto that cd.
find out the admin's password.
SHutdown and boot into vista
log into admin
go to control panel
go to user accounts
and change your account to an admin.
