Ok so my screen looks like that. I was wondering, are those dead/
cracked pixels and if so then how do I fix? Do I have to get a new
monitor?

Uh, I hear mixed things about dead/lazy pixels. IMO those look dead and unfixable, but this might be worth a try.

Yes it was like that from the begining. This LCD was expesive
(brand: SHARP) so I dont know how it could break so easily esp. that I only had it for 9 weeks.
Made in China crap these days.

| If it was like that from the VERY beginning, you should have gotten an RMA. Otherwise, Asus and Dell make great monitors.

Yup, definitely get a new one. I don't recommend a Viewsonic, though, as mine died within a year. Bad luck, probably, but keep that in mind. I'm using a Westinghouse and it has been good to me.

Before you get a new screen, it could also be your gpu.
Try another one before getting a new screen.

Personally I think that if it lasted 8 weeks it was either dropped a lot before it got to you and it was gheto. From experience I've noticed that LG and PHILIPS seem to bring GREAT qaulity monitors because I own both an LG and a PHILIPS for 8 years now =]
