Why must it be light? I tried a lot of lighting techniques I know but dark just seems best.
I never do text. I know it'll be rip but I couldn't care anymore. Just not on this forum :]

The colours are monotonous, the effects are bland and there aren't many and the light source isn't so good either.
Try doing some pentooling them smudging with good brushes, add more colour variation and a better light source, NEVER use soft brushes for light sources.

Excuse me?
When you want to add your light source, new layer, image > apply image, Filter > render > lighting effects.
Fuck around with that, it's realistic and adds depth.
Soft brush does/is neither of those things.
