OP is most likely experiencing streaks of depersonalization. It's not that uncommon. A common example is a driver feeling like he or she just went a mile in like 2 seconds. You tell yourself you "spaced out," or something similar. It's described as being detached or not in control of your body and/or mind, but another common symptom reported by people is that one you're describing.

It's not a big deal unless it's preventing you from functioning normally. In that case, cognitive therapy could help.

rofl, i got a detention because in our advisory (its like home room) our teacher decided to let us have a homework day, and since i had finished all my homework the night before, she said that i would have to find something to work on. but since i couldnt find anything, i got a detention. im such a bad student.
