Whenever I play CS:S (I don't know about any other games, I just play CS:S) I play for awhile and then my monitor turns off.. The power button turns orange.. and I can turn it back on, but I don't see anything. My computer is still powered on, buy not my monitor. I would have to restart my computer to start seeing stuff again. Does anyone know the problem?

Sounds like your monitor's going into standby; the system doesn't know that you're doing something within the CS:S application. Have you tried Alt+Tabbing out and moving around the mouse or using the keyboard when it happens?
Is it always after a certain amount of time? Try going into power options and changing it not to turn off your monitor unless inactive for a longer period of time.
What operating system are you running?

Yeah, my monitor does go into standby. I tried to move my mouse around and stuff, but nothing. I haven't tried to alt tab. Um, I'm playing while this happens, using keyboard and mouse constantly. I'm not sure if it's after a certain amount of time, but I'm thinking it is. I changed my screen saver to "none" and hopefully that'll fix it.

Also, I'm using Windows XP SP2

That is strange.. I guess the DirectX window isn't able to relate to the desktop that keystrokes and mouse movements are taking place.
Control Panel > Power Options will give you the option to change how long it takes for your monitor to go into standby mode.
