Isn't it a good idea to add a feature so users can lock their own topics?
If they think they have got a complete answer to their question they can just lock the topic to prevent spam?
Its just an idea tho

Only prob I can see is they flame someone and just be like having the last post all the time in their topic if they flame kinda lame but eh.

I don't think that feature would ever be implemented in CEF, nor in any other forums. The reason for this is that sometimes, thread starters may abuse the use of locking the topics. If thread starters can lock their topics, as what you have suggested, then what are Moderators kind of here for?

Moderators aren't for locking topics. They are for deleting and editing inappropriate posts.
Anyhow, why be so selfish and request a lock on a topic when there might be someone else that has the same problem but might need some more information ?
Or when giving a statement about a subject and then locking it, preventing that statement from being disproven by other forum members.

I have seen so many posts of repeating correct answers that already have been given
I think it would prevent a lot of spam
Also about being selfish
Im talking aboout when they have had their answers. So everyone with the same problem can still read it, as well as the solution to their problems
