Yes all is compatable, THO (but tho here), I wouldn't recommend this build at all.
First of all:
- Just download windows like all normal people (hint, thepiratebay)
- Get an intel motherboard + processor, its ALOT faster
- Get this harddrive for the same price, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145215
Get this motherboard (use the money you where going to use @ windows):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128358
This one is good for overclock, very stable.
Also it got crossfire (dual ATI cards).
Then there 130 over for the intel processor (30 from windows and 100 from amd cpu)
I would totally recommend you to get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037
But its 30$ over budget but its your choise.
Otherwise get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115132
One more hint for you triple core sux.
(dualcore is for gaming, otherwise I can suggest somthing else)

I totally agree.
I'd get a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz at $190
Wat do you guys think of the XFX/EVGA 780i?
I knnow it aint intel but its still pretty good.

You download the OS of you choice ( I reckomend you Download Vista or Windows 7)
Then burn the iso to a disc using nero/poweriso/imgburn.
Then when your computer is built and fully ready.
Insert disc ad turn computer on,
if disc doesnt automatical boot then go to bios and make your disc boot first.
install vista/what ever
restart computer and go back to bios and make hdd boot first if asnt automaticaly done it.

Only get Q6600 if he's not gaming.
WIth gaming he wont need quadcore, im 100% sure at this, tried many systems myself.
780i, is ok i've got 2 systems with 750i (asus p5n-d) and its cheap and okey at overclocking.
I would say maybe 790i is better then?
It's alot more stable and ALOT better at overclocking.
Either 750i or 790i, what you can afford.

2. Download nero, and burn Vista Ultimate SP1 into a DVDR+ disc?? (or which 1?)
3. Build computer, and start up, put disc in.
4. Something should happen.....

I don't like vista but if you do, download vista (I would choose xp).
After 1,2,3...
4, the installation should start automaticly IF not follow step five.
5, then the HARDDRIVE is as first choise boot, go to bios and change it to CD, so it will start from it.
