Nobody mentioned Python?

A great first language if you know basic concepts of programming, and its plenty powerful. No lengthy compile-times either, and its completely cross-platform.

Syntax quite alike VB too.

If you don't like that, then C# without hesitation.
Don't go for VB. It teaches you sloppy coding techniques.

This all depends on what you want to do.

If you want to be a hacker(Not game hacker or cracker(Public perception of hackers), then go Lisp or pure C(So you can use UNIX to its potential)

Traditional Coding, Python / C#.

Games C#, and then C++(Sigh), but you can stick with C#

Networking, Java(Without a doubt)

I love how everyone throws C++ without even knowing existing of other languages.

people just say "C++ IS THE BEST !!" just because of one, then the rest follow him like a group of parrots.

Can someone tell me how to be able to make .exe of the cpp files I make in the C++ tut?? (in Visual C++ 2008 express edition that is)
I did it once and an exe apeared in the map I chose, but can't find it again :p
So how do I make the cpp files I wrote into exe's??

They aren't all the same. Firstly, they don't all compile to Win32 PE - Java doesn't, Lisp is generally interpreted, etc. Secondly, those that do compile to Win32 PE don't necessarily compile to similar executables. .NET languages compile to .NET bytecode which is interpreted. Pre-.NET Visual Basic is also interpreted to a degree.

Different compilers will also optimize differently, etc.

I'd say, for C/C++, the Intel compiler has to be best. It does an excellent job of full optimization (including weird SSE optimization that most compilers won't do). I ran a test for random number generation with a variety of compilers for an SSE-optimized mersenne twister psuedo-random number generator, and Intel's compiler won out (although it lost to gcc with the non-SSE optimized version of the algorithm).

FYI, Before approaching to C++ or anything else, C is the Basic to everything, you must learn it before anything else.
