Is it possible to downgrade to XP from Vista successfully, because I heard that downgrading from Vista to XP gives the BSOD.

nope thats all false i did it on my laptop and my friends laptops with no errors at all

It really depends.

Laptops designed for a specific operating system is intended to be used only with that specific OS. If you downgrade your OS from Vista to XP you must see if there are XP drivers available for your model.

Also downgrading the OS may interfere with the originality functionality of your system.

e.g. Those special keys on your laptop may not work correctly under Windows XP.

Next time select business models where some will give you Windows Vista Business with Windows XP Professional downgrade.

why downgrade? vista is better than xp for gaming.

It will give BSOD if you didnt include the right SATA driver for your mother board
