Install the sound drivers, then install updates for windows.
Try that, because once i installed this one update, it all worked. |

| what sound driver do i download? i go to dxdiag and it wont say what my sound card is, neither would any other programs |

Most likely it's an onboard card...sooo
Download CPU-Z
run it, it'll gather information.
Click the mainboard tab.
tell us the manufacturer and model number of your mainboard (motherboard)
we'll find the drivers you need. _________________
