You can upgrade RAM in all laptops, video card in new $2000+ laptops(gaming ones), CPU in a few old ones and some new ones(depends on the motherboard), HDD in all but you have to get the right kind. _________________

| RAM and HDD are pretty simple to upgrade in most laptops. You can also upgrade the CPU in some cases, though it's a lot of work. |

laptop harddrives are EXPENSIVE!
I would not suggest buying more hard drive space to put in your laptops.
You should look into buying an external hard drive. _________________

It's double $ for a 2.5" drive (which is laptop drive).
So a 500GB drive is about 140$. |

Email Toshiba and ask for a new hard drive they'll give you links and tell you what type of HDD your laptops motherboard supports. If they email you with hard drives that cost to much just copy and paste its model into google and you'll get the same stuff a lot cheaper _________________

RAM is easy. All RAM is compatible, as long as you match DDR2 or DDR3. You should go for the max speed your mobo supports. (If your mobo only supports DDR2-667, don't waste money and buy DDR2-800. It will work, but will be the same as DDR2-667, wasting you money.)
Any hard-drive works. As long as its 2.5" and a laptop hard drive (no, VelociRaptors will not work T_T.) I would wait 2 months for a new hard drive. Seagate Momentus 7200.4 is coming out in Q1 of 2009. It's a 7200 RPM laptop hard drive with 500GB of storage. Prices are rumored to be around $150. |
