Question about overclocking

get the original BIOS from motherboards website and not PC maker. Also if you try to overclock with original cooling that came with your pc 1. it will blow up or melt 2. you'll have no computer.

And the tape mod is pretty simple Intel put a pin on there that controlled voltage and mhz all that stuff the guy put tape on it which disabled it and made the processor run at full speed but that's like the number 1 way to destroy a system.

Nvm i had to buy a new mobo bcuz i fucked my old one up when placing it into my new case. Ill save the story for later Wink

On my new mobo there are no restrictions and stuff so ill be able to overclock my cpu on it Smile

There's a set of pins on the board that determine the chip's native FSB frequency. Taping off the pins or shorting them together(depending on the CPU and desired frequency) will result in it forcing the CPU to a higher FSB strap, and give it an overclock that way. In some systems such as OEM machines that's the only way to overclock.
