ever heard of games like MafiaDeath well i would like a game like this i have knowledge in html but thats it ( i also know some vb)
1)i need an experienced team of 3-5 people to help me program the game
2) If you would like to help write the story please pm me Smile

3)i have a little problem getting people to join, so if you could please help
4)I would like the game to be written in PHP and have a login system
5)If you help program and if you would like you can be an admin of the game
6)after i get at the most 3 admins i will start recruiting GM's

Thats alot of warnings!

making a rpg in php is just like vb6.. u gotta learn how to use php with mySQL first then just make a simple register/login box.. (tons of examples) on the net

then you start adding more stuff when you are already logged in to light up to logged in users.. add more stuff like tables with stats/levels to mySQL then more loading code to php where you are already logged in.

these php rpgs are just loading/saving code to mysql thats about it.. and about fighting u could just use some math with the stuff you load from mysql.. maybe your level could determine how hard you hit damage or add armor system..

it's very easy to do.. but it takes alot of time.. it's like slavery work for one person.

I am making a game too that I abondoned awhile ago. What it is:
Php based vb game O.o

SO its a php webserver hosting a online rpg where the vb program kept on requesting a page called processplayermessages.php with parameters and it will compare it with a database and update the coords. But after I finished the login system and began on the movement database, I realized I suck horribly at drawing charactyers................... So the project died.

lols just saying php is as easy as vb.. u dont gotta know what a datatype is just do $number and it could be anything number letter etc..

yah u cant make moving games in php they will be very bad.. cuz it would have to refresh the page every movement or maybe if u make the moving path full of frames then it will still look bad. the new javascript ajax is pretty good but still slow..

yah i give up on all my projects too lol
