wouldnt the general discussions section(this one) be a valid section for such topics? you make a thread open for discussion and it is helping others at the same time. it is not related to any other section and technically it is a general knowledge thread which would also fall under this section. _________________

Such a 'Tutorial'- or 'How to'-section would be interesting IMO.

So I thought there could be a Tutorial section with subsections such as: Application Programming, Web Programming, perhaps Game Programming, GFX etc. (Just examples Wink

That'd be too general. Like one Tutorial is about 'How to upload files with PHP+html' and the next is 'How to color eyes with Photoshop'.
A pure Tutorial section would be much better IMO.

Are you afraid of people having high post counts?

You can post in Random Spam and gain 5,000 posts! It is highly unlikely, but still... It debunks your theory that post count matters...

Also, the only problem i see is spam and things. Which is a not an uncommon worry in new subsections. We should through two senior mods in the section to start... If it needs more, i bet Dark_Byte could find some.
