How do you deal with money amounts like $1,000, ... as opposed to just plain 1000?
I go to imput something like that, and I get an error message, instead of results.

$1000 in ce is 1000
If this is not what you mean, try to post a little better so we can get the idea.

No. I'm still working on getting those options to work.

I've tried going without the commas. That doesn't seem to work, either.
Is anyone here familiar with "SimCity 3000 Unilimited"? That's one of those
that I'm trying to affect.
Maybe we can use this for example purposes? If anyone know this one, ...
please tell me what to do about it?

If I remember rightly, the cash is stored as either a DWORD or a QWORD (ie. 4 or 8-bytes in length). Should be straightforward to find with normal exact value searches... Not sure what to suggest... all the obvious stuff like are you targeting the right process?... and then maybe choosing the 'all' scan-type to scan outside of the 32-bit range, and possible include read-only memory too...

Yes. ... Darn, ... I wish I knew more what I was doing, but I guess that'll be
some time. I just pretty much started using this utility.

I know, that's how it's supposed to be done. I tried just that here, both with
and without commas (to cover all my bases), and it didn't give me anything.

What do you mean by this? You don't need to be using the 'text' type scan at all. No two ways about it, thats the wrong type. More info...

A 4-byte scan will not take special characters. Just ignore anything like that, as it is not stored in memory as you see it in-game most of the time (ie. in game might have commas, spacing, or currency symbols like $ £, but in memory its just stored as the literal value, say '1000').
