|
|
I'm trying to make a software that will be able to communicate with other people via Hamachi. I mean, I want it to be able to send and recieve packets to and from other people on the same hamachi room, and I want it to be able to list all of the users in the room.
If I would have just the IPs of all the users in the room it would be enough, though.
Does anyone knows a way of doing that? |

I don't know how to get a list of ip's/computers in the network, but once you have them, you can use winsock to communicate with them. (google it to find tons of examples)
What programming language is it for? |

| Sending and reciving packets isn't a problem, I just want to make a program that people can see which other people are online. Which means I need a server or something. |

| Hamchi already tells you who's online in the room and who isn't. |

| Well it is possible, because in a windows network you're able to see all the computers in the network. The thing is, I don't know if it's a specific windows thing, or that it also works with other networks with computers running linux for example. And games with a LAN function also have some way to search for hosts in the network, and this also works through hamachi. |

"Additionally, using a /8 network prefix creates a single broadcast domain between all clients. This makes it possible to use LAN protocols that rely on IP broadcasts for discovery and announcement services over Hamachi networks. Hamachi is frequently used for gaming and remote administration. The vendor provides free basic service and extra features for a fee." _________________
