Wow, you are so bad at hardware.

Ok please explain why, and then don't come say your better because I've built ALOT of computers.
I know 8800GT isn't that priceworth tho I don't like ATI that much.
You'll get alot better preformance with a 4850 and just a few more dollars.

So you build a lot of computers. Well then so have I, but it does not mean I know everything.
Also he's got a AGP slot so the HD4000 series is a no go. |
I didn't say I know everything, and I was talking about a hole new comp
because he only got 2.5gHz celeron and probebly from 512mb-1gb ram of a bad kind.

Depends also on what ram you got, when you get out of ram you will start using "Virtual ram" which is HHD space used to access files faster.
Tho its very much slower.
If you got about 1gb okeyspeed ram you would be ok

Your computer got a Celeron 2.4 GHz, I would say buy a hole new computer.
Buy a dualcore at 2.2 or more.
Buy 8800GT or better.
2GB ram with XP and 4GB ram with VISTA.
Crap chassi and okey PSU. What IS a good PSU?
What RAM? What if he buys pc6400 to a pc5300 mainboard?
Buy a whole new computer?
You tell him to buy a dual core at 2.2 or more, what about mainboard?
What if he buys an AGP mainboard and a PCI-E GPU?
Crap chassi and okey PSU?
You tell him he should buy a computer without specifications, it's like telling a guy how to swim like this:
Jump in the water, swim.
(???)
