$150 for the lot, I walked away paying $40.
Teachers discount ftw.
Anyway, good selection?
The 3ds bible is like 1300 pages, comes with a dvd.

I prefer AutoDesk Maya over 3DS Max though.

Maya is more known for its procedural shaders. It used to be an entirely different company's product competing 3D modeling software.

Hmm well the best shaders I find are 3rd party anyway.
Besides, 3ds Max has like the best universal model support.
I can import my models into flash CS4.

I beg to differ, Maya is extremely hard to learn though.

When i said C i meant C++, i just say C. and you have a C++ book there.

Besides, the 3ds book won't teach you nearly as much about directx and how to USE directx as a book dedicated to it would.

I find maya to not work like I wanted. I'd perfer 3ds max as it has really simple controls.
