4870x2 can be crossfired with a single 4870 too i think, but I'd wait for next round of graphic crads before buying such expensive ones

Is it true that most game doesnt work in Intel Core 2 Extreme Q9770 ?
and is
2x gtx 280s (cant crossfire 4870x2's)
the new 8 core nehalem.

better than radeon that have 2gb memory ? i forgot the code for that graphic xD

Will it scale perfectly? Doubtful. Will it beat 2x GTX280's? Probably.

every person ive seen that tried either couldnt get them working, or got 2-3 fps on cod4.

That's because the people talked to did not do enough research, don't know how to do a proper setup, overall they have no idea what their doing.
You can run 2 HD 4870X2 in CrossFireX, but in order to take advantage of it you have to be playing it at 2560x1600 which I doubt any of the people you talked to is running on that resolution.

CPU: Intel Core2 Duo Extreme Q95xx or higher.
RAM: Corsair 2GB RAM blocks, 1300MHz or higher.
HDD: Anything with over 500GB of space, and 7200rpm or higher.
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 3x SLI. Ultimate performance.
Mobo: Any up-to-date will work out, it's not like you need excessive.
Soundcard: Like stated earlier in the thread, if you're not a soundphile, just go with the onboard one.
Cooling: Get some hardcore water cooling, or some nitrogen cooling.
My computer has a cronic -92 degrees celcius, and it is like a dream.
