after installing and uninstalling, and redownloading (lol) visual C++ 2008 express, i still haven't managed to get intellisense working. i've checked the settings and read up on multiple webpages and it should be working.
i have the same problem with the error underlining, which won't show up. this has never happened to any of my other express versions, VB.net and C#.
when i say that the intellisense doesn't work, i'm talking about automatically while i'm typing, if i click the button or use the hotkey it will come up, but it's still not right. the error underlining is also a pain, especially when you're learning a new language.
if anyone's had this problem and knows a fix please help me.

C++ doesn't have any fancy pop up the word on type thing or error underlining.
You can just hit "Display Word Completion" and then type if you want.
And for errors, the output displays which line it is.
Don't expect everything to given to you like a .NET language.

oh so that's how it should be? i just want to make sure that there's not something wrong happening, and i realise the output displays errors. i was just told wrong by someone...
