hum, thanks for that note, so patching the code is just to be able de buy everything Very Happy i didn't tested that way lol
hehe, i'm too lazy to complete the game 100% and why i'm cheating it's because i'm not a good driver lol
by the way, have you found anything related to the passes that let you buy customized (unique) performance upgrade ?
i was just looking at them and changing some values crashed the game and came to post here lol

true for the camera, haven't thought about it :-/

yeah, it would be better that instand speed
i didn't work on it because i wasn't able to get the adresses that determine the direction :-/ (a bit lazy too Very Happy)

I know you can only use them in cars who support them (all except some special cars eg: the BMW and CopCorvette), but I think you need to install a "regular" upgrade of that kind first before you can make use of the unique upgrade. The encoding is described in this post:

Yes you need to add "bonus markers".. need to find the location again where they are stored.
*Edit2* in v1.3 they are around 0091D928, but the address might change a few bytes on each start.
Think of it like a stack of cards. When you win one it gets added to the stack. Once you use a card, it get zeroed out.
Here is a list of the available bonus marker cards (searching some of the values, if you own such a card, should reveal the location of the stack).

New version of teh loc changin' trainer will be out tomorrow.

New Features:
- Most main-page check-mark boxes, moved to *new* "View" menu.

- Added a feature that lets you change the lower and upper boundries of 'acceptible colored turf'. On the maps, streets are pretty much within a certain range, but I'll let you decide what's acceptible. This only affects the 'suggestion' colors (green/red), and does not hinder the app in any way. If the color under the mouse cursor is within range, All indicators will turn green. (and they're red otherwise).

- Added a magnifying glass feature to the map. When you click or click-drag, in the lower left hand corner of the screen, you get a mini-window which explodes the current area your mouse is over. It also implements a 'targeting crosshair' that also changes between green/red, based on 'point color testing'.

- Ability to 'browse' for your NFS-MW start-up file. I run a .bat file that unloads/loads the proper image file, so simply launching the game wasn't enough Wink

- Ability under the map calibration section to "Set Group 1 = Current" and "Set Group 2 = Current". This: So you don't have to write down numbers,etc... This feature isn't going to be useful until ...
1. I implement a 'user map' system, where the user gets to pick and train their own map.
2. The primary focus of this project , is to create a fairly simple VB app, that can easily be modified for other games in the future. In the end, I'd almost like to be able to not touch VB... maybe hit a config file or two, and create entire trainers that way =)

- Ability to set all current offsets/addresses, in the settings window (for ppl with different versions).


Not In Yet - Hopefully By Tomorrow:
- Loading/Saving Profiles (wanted to make sure I got everything before I comitted to a 'system' of loading/saving).
- A better form of warp.
- All the cheats/other content I can get meh hands on.
- All kinda other [email protected]#$

I am interest what kind of app you use to make this trainer.

I was try in those location of address, and I seem find an address about break tire, hope I have a luck day.

I tried to use the Z-coordinate in the speed field Wink to make a heightmap, but it didnt work Razz

Yes I know VB is Visual Basic, never mind, I will find another trainer maker, because CE make of trainer must use 2 hotkey to make a function work, but in this game, some time you no much time to push 2 key.

No Idea what I'd do with a bigger map, then it stands as is Wink It already takes up the entirety of my poor 2nd PC's 1024x768 screen =) I think the 'magnification' feature is going to do wonders. Here, give it a try - let me know if you folks need it changed before the real 0.5.3 is released Wink
*Edit* - Ooh, that map actually defines the roads a lot better/crisper/clearer and in a different color then any other thing on the map itself (where as my current map has a lot of grey's that 'mix' with other grey's around the road.)

I will say that all functions you could ever ask for really, are defined in the Module named modTrainerAPI - which I've been compiling since the first VB trainer I made. And i know for a fact that all functions you need to do this height map thing, are indeed already in this source. It's just a matter of putting all the lego's together.

Cparty was a good enough guy to d/l the source, and pointed out how I brok3d the "Current Speed:" updates. It was in a long list of things I had previously hard-coded, which got converted to a setting, in the settings page (err except for this feature, which was 1/2 left in the cold... He's back though)...

Also , a few minor bug fixes. Ooh yeah, And I spelled "Wanted" correctly, on the launch button, which was in big black bold text the whole time as "Wnated"

- Still no profiles, but ask Cparty, it's gettin there
- Still no 'cheats' - as I'm still trying to finish up the main portion of this trainer, before I step into 'ASM Code Land'.
- Mr Cparty is working on the Height Map as I type... Don't rush em' - It's his first day coding in VB Cool

p.s. Another step closer to finding the method we're going to use, to give the car an insta-speed boost... in the right direction even Razz

Edit game is a funny thing, so I think I must to learn more tools.

As with all cheats I create - I try to make them as simple as possible and entirely compatible with CE. Even the two code caves probably could have been done in much shorter ASM, but they were more for example of how to code-cave then example of pristine code =)

I already got it working, though the 16bit colors are killing my gradient sometimes, need to do a better encoding first.

I mean is, not zip all those files in a package, as the other man make of trainer, they don't need "MSCOMCTL.OCX" file and its only one file can do a trainer function.

Actually, the trainer needs 2 external , microsoft files. Comdlg32.ocx and MSComCTL.ocx. You just happened to have one of the two already.

Probably the easiest way to do it, is to make an installer. There are free installers all over the internet (go to google and search for OpenSource Installer). Another way is to put the needed files on the main form, in an OLE object, but then we have to get into error handling when the person doesn't have the file, and copying of an OLE file object, to the PC. So , the installer is probably your best bet.

Thanks for your reply, but as I know, those trainer (not use CE make, its make by VB) hoven't install, its just one file, you can see it on this post of page 1 (+12 plus trainer).
