Is there anyway to prevent it.

I only have one account on my computer, and as of yesterday it's been switching to the user screen, like when you log off..

Is there anyway to prevent if from doing that?

in Vista you can do this by running services.msc and disabling it, should be similar in xp too I guess

In XP you can go to accounts then change the way you log in.
