I think we have a pretty good computer section. I mean, all if not most of the problems people post get resolved. No charge, and you don't have to go to the computer store and pay half of what your computer costs to fix the problem. All they do is reformat. Seriously.
I remember when I went into one because I had a problem with my computer (Silly virus, and that was when I knew nothing about computers) they were like , "yeah , we will fix it.".
All they did was reformat. Had to install EVERYTHING again. All the drivers. Even my internet connection one. Not to mention they charged me $100.
It is pretty amazing what some people in a gaming forum can do, eh?.
So people who help out, pat yourselfs on the back. _________________

Meh, it's a decent section. There are a lot of computer noobs, who need to hit the books before they start posting. Bias and fanboys aren't that common here, but lack of chart-reading and simple math skills lead to that, and it's evident here.
Overall, you'll get good support, if you listen to the right people. You'll still want to check in dedicated computer forums. And forum rules are pretty harsh on me: I want to point out a major error someone else posted, but it doesn't contribute to the topic. So I figure I'm going to get warned if I post it. |

Depends on the mod. If he wants to be a jerk about it, he can warn you. Or not. depending on his mood.
Most of the time they don't warn you for correcting someone elses mistakes. At least not that I have seen.
Also, Superweapons, what computer forum do you visit regularly?
I would want to join it to learn some more stuff. _________________

Well, we don't have many retarded ms players in this section, also when they get problem with their comps they post in MS section, cause they think it's related to MS. <- pretty much sums it up.

PM me or SF if you want the rules to be edited/add something.
Also, you will not get a warning for correcting some major error someone posted. (That is, of course, as long as the post you're correcting is related to the topic-makers problem/subject.)
