Cheat Engine

Can some1 explain me one thing. What i want to do:
I want to find games EXP and modify that i can get quick lvl (game is offline singleplayer) so i have 4lvl and i can c that i need 1975exp to next lvl when i kill mobs that number decreases. Its like
4lvl c.exp ? --------- n.lvl 1975, when i try to search whit cheat engine 'Exact value' '4bytes' i cant find it but in 'double' it appears but when i try to change it to like 1 (so that i in game kill one mob and get next lvl) that number changes back in 1975 at same time as i change it, so i tryed to freeze and change but when i return to game it crashes. Any1 can explain me how should i do it properly Rolling Eyes

Search with cheat engine the amount you have EXP. after getting the list get more EXp. the values changed are your EXP Very Happy

Hmm... whrn you have the EXP. Address change it and then get some more EXP. (Some games need refreshment in the digits!) Cant help you more Sad

Hmmm... i can find my exp only in double then i click on adress, find whats writes it then the debuger come whit <6 adreses i go to game get exp and when i come back to CE game crashes. Its the one of the hard ones to get pass... Mad

And i dont understand why the heck they made exp in double's Rolling Eyes

it would more easy`er to make it in 4bytes or smth...

Its a lot easier to search by putting in the section where are; 4bytes,byte,Double... Just put the section All(Byte to Double)
And about the game crash, the crashing is an nasty piece of shit and some games do it so you can just forget cheat engine with that game, Or somewhone have an idea preventin crash?

Whats the game, might I ask? I can help you if your still having troubles or need help finding tables or trainers. If you want to hack it yourself to learn, I still would recommend you post the game name so people who played/hacked this game can give you first hand experience.

Its most likely a float or an integer in 4-byte. A float takes up the same 32-bit space in memory, so you should be able to cover floats with 4-byte scans anyway. Remember to try unknown scans followed by increased/decreased scans, and tick the 'all' memory range if you aren't picking up any results.

There is always a chance (although smaller) that the game is encrypting its value, in which case you'll only ever find them with long changed/unchanged searches. I would very much doubt its a double. Its inefficient for most games to use double as data-storage as it takes up more memory-space (2x a float).

The game is Sacred2 DEMO (en ver) i just wanted to try and hack in demo, some exp and gold but i stuck, in most of the games its much easyer and i managed to get it, but in this one is much harder gold is in 4byte i can find it but when i change it's value in game the value is the same when i sell item value changes but when i buy smth value is still lower it just changes visual value, exp is much harder one because in 4bytes i cant find it because i dont know real value but i know the value needed to next lvl but it decrease when i gain exp, and most likely i can find it in float or double values.
