From what I've read on the web, the i7 does auto overclocking.

So, when you dont even notice it will overclock itself? Why does that seem potential dangerous...?

Maybe they/you ment something different.

Nope that is what I meant, Intel calles it "turbo" mode.

Speaking of "turbo" mode, in the old days cases have this turbo button where people would press it thinking it increased their cpu speed, while in reality all it's doing is just chaning the number on the LCD.

e.g. You have a Pentium 133MHz cpu and the LCD says 133, Pressing the turbo button makes the LCD say 266, but your cpu is still running at 133. Laughing

Not true. With turbo mode enabled it ran at normal speed, but when turbo was off it ran at a reduced speed for compatibility with older applications.

I'd get this board just for the RAM slots. You can never have too many RAM slots. As long as, of course, the board supports at least 2GB per slot Smile

You do know any basic OS preferably windows can only support up to 4 GB ram then it will cancel out the slots. If your running 64x not sure how much it is...
