any idea what to do if the backlight won't turn on its fully charged and was damaged in the past
what do i do?

Probably something with the LED being broken. I think you might need to go to the apple store.

Plug into Computer
^Turn on iTunes
^Restore iPod.

If that doesn't work, there are iPod mechanics out there. Or you could just buy a new one.

not payin 100$ for a new 1 ill just head to the mac store downtown and see what they say.
