Well then you must be the ones that cursed cause I've got a Pentium !!! 800Mhz and the retail fan still works after 8 years.

The cpu is a slot type so the fan is permanently attached to it.

Maybe the lottery is calling for you?

LUL WAT??

Seriously that made no sense at all. let me rephrase it.

Intel CPUs run hot and i mean very hot.

Most of the time an aftermarket cooler will drop 10Cs off o the temp. Now if you want a hot room go ahead and let it make you sweat like a big.

But don't insult my opinions about how stock fans are not as good as after market fans who are QUIETER and more EFFECTIVE. IE copper heatsinks

My CPU is running at a fine 25C with an Intel fan.

Also, Intel runs less hot than AMD... It is a proven fact on my occasions.

Current cpus with smaller process, newer stepping, and other architectural improvements, keeps the cpu a lot cooler than its predecessors. So a stock fan will do its job just fine if the user isn't planning to overclock.

A 3rd party fan may drop down the temp by a few degrees, but don't expect a $10 fan to perform miracles.

Pentium D on the other hand was a nuclear reactor.

And stock fans also have a copper base.

BTW: You said stock fans has a 70% failure rate. I prove you wrong by saying my stock fan is still working after 8 years. What's so hard to understand about?

And what does this have to do with your cpu running hot?
About 90% of the average people uses stock fans and you don't see them complaining.

Double the hard drive space, better PSU, better motherboard, faster processor based on the 45nm process, double the RAM. After applying rebates, the build's price is still in the same range as the OP's build.

Forgot to include the case:

He said he knows what he is doing by getting it, moron. Read the the thread.

Also, person who talked crap about stock heatsinks is also a moron.
They work perfectly fine. 70% failure rate? Fuck, you're stupid.

@ those bitching about stock heatsinks

This isn't 2001, current stock heatsinks are more than adequate, even for light-moderate overlocking, they're quiet, and the failure rate is almost non-existant.
