im just stating my personal view on the meaning of pain.
i define pain by levels not by the general term
seeign as how the perception of pain depends on a person. Some people can withstand more "pain" than others, others feel more hurt(pain" at the smallest little things. Some people cant feel pain at all cuz of a genetic problem.
i cant argue on this because i define pain as anything that you can feel in terms of touch. =/
also, i dont know how to explain my view with words.

when you touch a hot stove you feel pain, it hurts like hell.
when you touch that same stove but when its turned off, you feel the stove. its still pain, but it just doesnt hurt you.
when someone taps your shoulder, you feel their hand, although it doesnt really hurt you, its still a very low level of pain.
when someone taps your shoulder hard, you feel pain in a sense of "it hurts"
get what im saying?
i define pain in levels, when level of pain is too high, you feel "hurt"
