Well, this started right after i installed my new seagate 500gb hdd.
I've googled some about it found a solution but it didn't work out as expected.
So now i'm here.

Basically it drains my cpu making computer extremly slow.
Sometimes restart helps, but also i've made several restarts and no effect.

I had the same problem on a old drive. In the beginning it worked fine, but after a year it started taking up 90% cpu for even the smallest things like getting a list of files.

I threw it away and bought a new one. That solved my problem. (Perhaps you could get a replacement)

I guess getting a new one would be the answer. My computer takes up like 80% CPU when not in use after keeping it for 2 years. I wanted to reinstall it but I can't be stuffed. I think you should throw out your computer and get a new one. Take all the good parts out like your HDD before you do, though.

If i came with any programs, uninstall them. Try rebooting a couple times while having it out. Disable any kind of indexing or searching stuff. That's all I can think of.
