I agree.
It's so fucking cheap now, the 8800GT.
I bought mine for $299.
I feel really fucking ripped thinking about it and since there are much more better cards in performance and price such as the ATI HD 4850 & 4870.

the operating system is probably going to be one of the 3 most expensive parts anyone uses in a pc... (CPU, GFX + OS)
leaving your computer on overnight to download vista ultimate is hardly wasting your time

I'm not an extremist like some. Atleast not yet xP, i'll stick with my monitor and i from what i saw the mobo i have up there was Pretty much the same as the 2 others.
Edit: Ah, fine, fine. I'll switch back to 4850 ;P wasn't sure how it'd go with intel but benchmarks show it's about 30% better than 8800GT on crysis max settings (AA and AF) though they didn't have my screen res.

im doing an intel quad with a 4870x2 (crossfire)
you just need to have someone reccommend you an intel/ati mobo...
