Well I would Like to share my experience about computers
making noise. My Computer Used To make Noise and all I
Did Was Spray a dust cleaner You can get at wal-mart and
bam i can leave it on for days and no noise. Hope it works.

It was probably the dust in the fans. It doesn't kill anyone to clean them once in a while. I never clean mines. Don't really care about noise.

Usually your fans speed up because your processor or something is getting hot. When you have dust on your fan or near your processor etc your fan will try harder to keep it cool. So taking away the dust will help.

my pc hums abit because of the fans but other than that and the POST beep no noises whatsoever

Whenever mine starts to make a humming sound (usually when I run something that takes over 60% of my CPU usage), I just whack the top of my tower and the sound goes away.
Still don't know why that works Shocked

Mine makes alot of noise if I have a while I don't clean it.

Dusty inside, makes the fans have to work harder.

haven't had the side of the case on since I built it

surprisingly doesn't get very dusty, but it sounds like a tornado.

Mine only makes noise when the fan needs cleaned or when its not been switched off for a few days.
I have to clean my fan quite often as i live ibn a quite a dusty house, such a burden just to get maximum potentiontial to me next-to-shit computer.
