A very simple command prompt trick.
For those who don't know what the heck that .jpg actually is, try saving it as .rar

For those who don't know what the heck that .jpg actually is, try saving it as ... |
Nah that is just a regular picture and sometimes there are some secrets that's best to let the user find out on their own. You have to know that some parents knows about computers and may read this thread so you do not want to reveal it!

Now that's just paranoia..
Just use TrueCrypt with double encryption..
Make a container file and put all the things you want in there.
the container file can be named anything,
and will seem to be just a file to anyone else.
They can't see what's in the container, unless they either break the double encryption or guess the password used to open the container file.
