i figured seeing as i havent seen anything in windows that would do anything like that. just wondering if there was some sneaky thing i didnt know about.
btw know any good apps?

Try mysecretfolder
It allows you to either password protect a folder, or completly hide it.

It's standalone (or you can install it if you want to)
It will let you encrypt any folder/file or even a whole drive..

you should just password protect your account and give your parents a limited account.

If you mean you want to hid a folder from peeping eyes, then I have a way for you. Download winrar, and add your porn to an rar. Then rename the Whatever.rar to Whatever.notrar. That way it will show up as an unknow file. Rename it back to Whatever.rar to open it again.

That would make it pop out as a "NOTRAR" file.
Just remove the extension to make it pop out as a "FILE"
This is good, but for bigger files (movies, vids) it will take some time to get to your porn 
Just use TrueCrypt.. Easy. On-The-Fly Encryption

and don't forget to remove the "view -> status bar" too
