Hi.

Is there a way to pass javascript through a php link.

Google gave nothing, although i might not have been looking for long enough. Does anyone have any information, or perhaps an example?

Thanks.

Both of you shut the fuck up, if your not gonna help him get out.

Like that one guy said, but I usually do this.
Code:

<?php
/* whatever here */
?>
<script type="text/javascript">alert("Hi there.")</script>

It works because php files are like html files.

Code:

<?
$js = "<script type='text/javascript'>";

if ( isset( $_GET['javascript'] ) )
{
    $js += $_GET['javascript'];
}

$js += "</script>";

echo $js;
?>

Then just goto yourpage?javascript=alert('aids');

Note: semi-pseudo code and it could potentially be very dangerous to do this.. Since there is no code to check what their input is you could execute a remote file inclusion exploit.

Thanks for the replies, but I'm not talking about embedding JS into my page, I want like javascript in the link: heres an example.

http://forum.cheatengine.org/posting.php?(iwantjavascripthere)

And the javascript would need to change something in the pages javascript? i dont know if thats really possible.

So sorry for the confusion.

Firstly, PHP is confusing you. There is no such thing as a PHP link, your problem is just an HTML question.

To answer your question, you want to use the onclick attribute.

Code:
<a href="#" onclick="while(1) { alert('u r an fag'); }">Click here for free porn!</a>

No, what I think happened is that he read about SQL injection (all the rage with the MS kiddies these days) and thought: "OMG LOL, JAVASCRIPT INJECTION!!121!@12".

If you want to change something with the pages JavaScript/HTML just use GreaseMonkey for FireFox or type it directly into the URL bar. It only shows changes on your computer, it's just page formatting after all, so don't think that you will be an "uber leet pro haxor" for doing so.

Not quite flyte.

Now what i meant nog_lorp: just i knew u could do &blah for different things in php in the link, so i didnt know.

flyte: I was only trying to change a timer on a page...No "leet haxing" from MS or whatever?

Anyway, I tried to use GreaseMonkey, and when i edit it through the url, like var blah = 0, the webpage will just turn to 0...

That being said. How can I change a timer on a webpage which uses javascript. The timer runs off your system time with like
date() or something odd. I know you can do this, becuase i've seen it done in javscript for rapidshare...

Any help now?

So... are you using PHP or not? Like I said there is no such thing as a PHP link. You can use PHP VARIABLES in links, and PHP substitutes the value of the variable.

If you are doing something from the CLIENT, then you aren't doing anything with PHP at all whatsoever and should forget about it.

As for changing the value of something from your browser, you want to use javascript urls, like so:
Code:
javascript: x = 0; void(0);

Normally the return value of the whole expression is spit out in your browser, use void(0); to stop that from happening.

You probably want to overwrite the function prototype that is controlling the timer to not use date().

~nog_lorp
PS: give us source/link and it will be easier to understand what you are talking about.

In the address bar, "javascript:void( var timer = 0 );".

oh trust me i wish the timer was that simple. but i'll give it a few tries.

The timer itself is kinda complex Neutral

Edit: fuck this. nothing gives.
