Not true. You'll put a little more wear and tear on your hard drive but that's it.

Have you tried blowing out the slot really well and cleaning the connectors? It's unusual for a RAM slot to fail randomly...

I just used TinyVista, I don't know if that could have anything to do with it.

I'll give it a go, though. It did seem a little more difficult to push the ram into the slot while testing slots/sticks.

The dudes who did the wiring for this computer suck... All over the place..
