Say you have a 1000mbps(megabits per second) port/internet connection, how fast do you estimate your upload/download speeds would be like? xmb/second?

1000/8= 125MB/s

Don't forget the overhead of the packet headers etc...
Let's say it takes an average of 2 bits per byte extra, so 1000/10=100MB/sec
